A Russian Steel Armorial Hand Seal from the Somov Family
Unknown maker, possibly Tula, mid-19th century
2-3/8 x 1 inches (6.0 x 2.5 cm)

Of faceted tapering octagonal baluster form with double matrices, one featuring the arms of the Somov family with pendant orders, the other with noble coronet and initials possibly those of Pavel Vasilievich Somov (1846-1914).
