Condition Report*: Shade: Conical shade encircled by descending daffodils in bloom, a fine example of model 1497 with thoughtful glass selection in a naturalistic color palette in overall very good condition. Flowers composed of saturated tangerine mottled with cadmium yellow and topped with green foliage with undertones of blue and yellow. Approximately 6-9 tiles with tight, stable hairlines, remarkably few for the number of elongated tiles. Some surface soiling, concentrated primarily to adjacent contours of shade leading. Marked to interior
Base: Twisted Vine base with rich reddish-brown and green patina, a strong pair for the naturalistic feel of the shade. Presents well, with some fine surface wear and rubbing to patina, primarily on base. Heat cap with minor area of loss to underside of rim. Marked to underside.
Inscribed on base CHARLES DOLAN FROM THE JUSTICES OF THE SUPERIOR COURT 1916
