Bright and unusual, this excellent, opaque semi-precious stone is a newly accepted gem marketed as "Aquaprase." The incredible pear-shaped stone is related to the similar green Chalcedony prized during the Roman Empire that Pliny the Elder wrote about and was recently rediscovered in modern-day Turkey. However, this particular stone originated from Namibia and exhibits a desirable and vibrant slightly greenish blue hue that is attributed to the presence of Chromium and Nickel. With characteristic inclusions that create an enthralling appearance, brilliant facets, and weighing 20.58 carats, this gem, in excellent condition, would make a unique, one-of-a-kind pendant that is sure to stand out this upcoming Valentine's Day.
