Jesús Bautista Moroles, a native Texan stone sculptor, received his BFA from the University of North Texas and apprenticed under Luis Jimenez. Moroles's monumental sculpture has been exhibited in installations throughout the US. He was commissioned to do 45 pieces throughout the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, he installed a 22 foot sculpture in the New York CBS Plaza, and he created the Sculpture Plaza entrance to the Edwin A. Ulrich Museum in Wichita, Kansas. Moroles also exhibited in the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington DC, The Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Santa Fe, as well as many regional Texas museums and galleries. Moroles is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts.
