Benefiting The Salvation Army

Crystallized Gold Nugget - 482.6 Grams (15.52 Troy Ounces)
Australia

This spectacular Gold Nugget from Australia stands on its own - literally, without need of a base - and without need of any background story, although it certainly has one for the ages! An exquisite specimen of crystallized Gold, the wonder from Down Under boasts incredible color and luster, a phenomenal sculptural form replete with numerous holes, and a most pronounced visual appeal from all sides and angles. Weighing 482.6 grams, or 15.52 troy ounces, this offering is very sizable not to mention complex, vibrant, and simply amazing. While everything in terms of attributes to be stated about such a Gold is unquestionably well deserved, it is a backstory of how this came to be in this catalog that warrants some attention, consideration, and appreciation. Believe it or not, an anonymous donor presented this to a couple of Salvation Army Captains during their celebrated Red Kettle Campaign, on December 14, 2024. In this instance, the gift was made to the Salvation Army of Southern Indiana, during their (annual) National Commanders Red Kettle Challenge. The donor intended the proceeds for an auction of the Gold Nugget to benefit the Salvation Army. The generous gift was made in New Albany, Indiana, to the delight of the Salvation Army team there.
Measurements: 2.98 x 2.54 x 1.59 inches (7.57 x 6.44 x 4.03 cm), weighs 482.6 grams (15.52 oz t)
