This stunning, yet ominous looking, slab of Petrified Palm Wood hails from the famous Green River Formation of Wyoming. The irregular shape provides additional drama to the eerie specimen, with swirling patches of storm cloud gray. The beautiful specimen exceeds 23 inches (58.4 cm) at fullest dimension and exhibits classic Palmoxylon "pin holes" over a majority of the polished surface, with broad and irregular banding of concentric amoebic patterning over much of the outer region of the highly unusual, and extremely intriguing, example of this variety of Petrified Wood with a pedigree.
