NWA 16451 is a Carbonaceous Chondrite, CK4, found in Mali in 2023. Weighing 303.3 grams, this represents the MAIN MASS of that meteorite, which has a Total Known Weight of a mere 389 grams. The dark partial form - resembling part of a chocolate snack cake or a hockey puck - displays well-defined chondrules in a fine-grained matrix revealed in a cut and polished window display surface. The sizable, varied, and textural exterior exhibits remnant fusion crust. Such material does contain Plagioclase and rare Pentlnadite but lacks any metal. There is a fingerprint-sized indentation on one side of the thick, disk-like form. The primary face is ideally cut, quite smooth, and monochromatic.
