From the iconic North Sea locality, this massive offering consists of a partial jaw section from a Woolly Mammoth with two outstanding and virtually complete teeth in their original root sockets in the huge mandible. This rustic fossil from Mammuthus is rather solid, with only some visible superficial cracking around the curved periphery of the bony collar-like structure. An odd phalange extends out from the tip, and the two hollow ends at the base display some porous texture. One side offers part of the process of sorts sticking up, creating a bit of asymmetry to the piece. Various shades of light brown characterize the mottled surface of the bone, and the undulating pattern of the grinding surfaces of the two teeth is very apparent, further confirming the quality of the components of this group. A most unique fossil out of the Pleistocene Epoch, the "Ice Age" remnant makes for a dramatic display specimen and high visual impact.
