Description

"Gem" Dinosaur Bone Handle Knife
Jurassic
Morrison Formation
Utah, USA

This unique Stag Hunter's style knife has been crafted out of German cutlery steel and fossilized "Gem" Dinosaur Bone. The bone used for this knife is most likely from a Sauropod Dinosaur out of the Morrison Formation of Utah, dating to the Jurassic Period. The handle features rich red, haunting gray, and brown gem-grade bone with an intricate and mesmerizing trabecular cell structure. The blade is durable German steel, easy to sharpen, and holds an edge longer. The blade measures 3.74 x 0.98 inches (9.5 x 2.5 cm). The knife has a full tang for nice balance, a brass-colored bolster for contrast, a curved finger guard for comfort, and a rounded butt. A small amount of residual glue is visible near where the Dinosaur Bone and the tang meet, but, otherwise, this knife is in great condition and weighs 188 grams. A black knife case accompanies the unique knife.
Measurements: 7.87 x 1.17 x 0.71 inches (20.00 x 2.98 x 1.81 cm)
