The Fluorite crystals of this world-class Fluorite specimen are second-to-none in terms of color: it would not be a reach to say that this piece is at the pinnacle of Yaogangxian specimens, when it comes to this characteristic. The large cubes of Fluorite are cerulean blue in the edges, and this fades into a bright apple green in the centers, changing hue but not intensity. Incredibly, this specimen has not been irradiated, as proven through the white Quartz points in the matrix: any radiation would have turned these a darker color. The form of the Fluorite is excellent, featuring several large crystals (the largest of which reaching 3 centimeters on the edge) in a beautifully simple composition, appearing to interlock lightly with each other. The crystal faces have great luster and a smooth texture, with some classic Fluorite stepping. This specimen came from a small find in 2009, theoretically in a pocket of specimens with a similar appearance, although this material continues to be elusive. There is some minor cleavage on a few corners and contact on the back side. This specimen stands and displays well on its own without a base.
