Hailing from one of the premier sources of rare gemstones, Sri Lanka, this immense Garnet weighs nearly 27.50 carats. The emerald-shaped beauty boasts expert step-cut faceting and an excellent polish. The deep red bodycolor is highly saturated and nicely balanced with excellent brilliance and nice scintillation. True to the Pyrope-Almandine composition, the gem exhibits a rich, bold, and iconic red hue for the variety. The stone has been skillfully cut and faceted and is only very slightly included with near-eye-clean clarity, as there are a couple of thin needles visible to those with keen eyesight, but these slight inclusions do not detract from the gem's overall allure. This impressive gemstone is nearly pristine, making it a real showstopper, especially if set as a ring or pendant.
