Weighing 93.6 grams, this example of "Las Palmas" is a whole individual that rests on its naturally flat base. Of course, it is the large, obvious, and rare natural hole that makes the representation so prized. "Las Palmas" has characteristics similar to that of Campo del Cielo, but a separate location and a smaller independent strewnfield indicate that it is likely a completely different type of meteorite. The example is simply a beautiful unclassified iron with a lightly cratered surface, fine gunmetal color, and a big hole.
Measurements: 1.63 x 1.52 x 0.89 inches (4.15 x 3.87 x 2.25 cm), weighs 93.6 grams
