Doc Savage, the Man of Bronze, is a classic pulp hero who was introduced to a generation of readers through James Bama's hyper-realistic and vigorous covers for Bantam Books. In this cover for The Devil's Playground, Bama presents Doc Savage as a muscular, larger-than-life figure, his trademark tattered shirt revealing his powerful physique.
