Description
A Large Navajo Yei Rugc. 1940
native handspun wool, aniline dyes
Dimensions: 170 x 70 inches
Condition Report*:
In overall good to very good condition. One approximately 5 x 4 inch light stain; a few others, all light and less than 1 x 1 inch. Minimal bleeding around the indigo necklaces on the Yei figures. Fading on one side. No holes or apparent crazing. Selvedge and corners intact. One 2 x 1 inch instance of stabilizing stitching, otherwise no apparent restoration. A velcro panel spanning the width stitched on one side. Wear commensurate with age and use.
