PROVENANCE:
Christie's, New York, November 11, 1998, lot 91;
Kurt E. Schon, Ltd., New Orleans, Louisiana, acquired from the above;
Acquired by the present owner from the above, 1999.
Condition Report*:
Lined canvas. Very minor buckling to canvas in upper right corner, most apparent under raking light. A few scattered instances of very minor frame abrasion at edges. Very slight yellowing to the varnish layer. Faint, finely patterned craquelure. A few scattered pinpoint dots of discolored accretion and what appears to be errant white paint. Some scattered inclusions in the paint layer, original to production. A very few scattered dots of surface abrasion, appearing to be stabilized beneath the varnish layer. Not examined out of frame due to size.
