A FIVE PIECE GORHAM COIN SILVER AND SILVER GILT COFFEE SERVICEGorham Manufacturing Co., Providence, Rhode Island, circa 1860

The service comprising a hot water urn with stand and burner, coffee pot, covered sugar, creamer and waste bowl with gilt interior, each with a band to body of bright-cut floral swags on an engine-turned ground centered with a scroll cartouche, the hot water urn and coffee pot with lion mask mounted handles with oval drop loops, tripartite scrolling acanthus leaf finials to lids above beaded rims, urn with stylized scroll and acanthus leaf spigot finial, each set on a circular base raised on four toupie feet, unmarked and likely married stand; monogrammed T to center cartouche. Originally retailed by J.W. Tucker, San Francisco, California.

Condition Report*:
Lid does not fit snug to sugar, denting to waste bowl and urn, pin dent to coffee pot under rim, deep scratch to pot about 1 inch long, general wear commensurate with age.
