Signed by Sendak on the half-title. With an original signed ink on paper drawing of a Wild Thing, signed and dated "Sept. '88," laid in.
Oblong quarto. [40] pages. Publisher's full crushed blue morocco stamped and lettered in gilt, printed colorful endpapers, all edges gilt, dark blue silk page marker.
Condition: Gilt rubbed on front cover and spine; bookseller notations to front free endleaf verso. Internally clean and tight. Housed in original linen clamshell box, with color pictorial paper inlay on front cover; touch of wear along edges and on purple velvet-lined interior. In fine condition.
