This delightful image of a monster parade was created by Lee Lorenz, longtime cartoonist and editor of The New Yorker (from 1973 to 1997). A prolific contributor, Lorenz has drawn over 1,600 drawings for the magazine, and he received the National Cartoonist Society's "Gag Cartoon Award" for 1995.
