Condition Report*: Unlined canvas. Pinhole at center, consistent with the artist's practice. A small nail hole with associated loss in lower right corner, possibly related to placement of a tacking nail. Slight discoloration to the varnish layer in some areas. Very finely patterned craquelure. Scattered inclusions in the paint and varnish layers. Not examined out of frame.
Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly. Some apparent strengthening applied to the terracotta tones appears above the varnish layer. Some modern pigments fluoresce, particularly the greens.
