Condition Report*:
Lined canvas. Pronounced cracking throughout but particularly near center. Pinhole in upper left corner. Some yellowing to the varnish layer. Scattered small dots of surface abrasion and discolored accretion. Minor surface dust. Not examined out of frame.
Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly. An area of brushy retouching, possibly addressing a repair, in the background to the left of the cow being milked. Some additional small dots of retouching along upper and left edges. Signature has been strengthened.
