Little Me originally opened on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on November 17, 1962, starring comedian Sid Caesar in multiple roles. The story, written by Patrick Dennis of Auntie Mame fame, is a fictional autobiography of a beautiful but poor young woman named Belle and her determination to marry men who will elevate her status, most of whom are played by the leading man. The Neil Simon/Cy Coleman musical was revived in 1982 with James Coco and Victor Garber, and again in 1998 starring Faith Prince as Belle and Martin Short in the Sid Caesar roles.

The 1998 revival opened at the Criterion Center Stage Right in Times Square but closed after only 99 performances when the building owners closed the theater to remodel the building to accommodate an enormous Toys R Us store (now The Gap). Little Me earned Short a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical.

This sketch by legendary artist Al Hirschfeld features Short as many of his onstage personae, as well as Faith Prince as Belle. The sketch was first published in The New York Times on Sunday, November 1, 1998.

This giclée, part of an extremely limited edition, is printed on 15" x 18" hot press paper and has been generously autographed by Short.

The edition is numbered, includes the official Hirschfeld Foundation embossed seal and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity directly from the Al Hirschfeld Foundation.
