Jimmy Gleason was a famous character actor. Pin-Up Dreams notes,"There was also a portrait of James Gleason, a character actor who had worked with Robert Armstrong (Rolf's nephew, who played Carl Denham in the 1933 film, King Kong) back in his vaudeville days, and was a lifelong friend of the family."
