Description
A PAIR OF ASSINIBOINE WOMAN'S BEADED CLOTH LEGGINGSc. 1890
composed of navy blue wool trade cloth, with broad panels of canvas decorated with geometric motifs in various shades of glass seed beads
Lengths: 21 inches each
Condition Report*:
In overall good to very good condition. On both: beading extant with noticeable scuffing on only one bead. Cotton lining with light soiling. In one legging, there is an approx. 1-1/2" x 7/8," hole in the navy legging, small holes in the tan stripe at the top of legging, and two approx. 1/8" holes in red wool exterior at bottom, and approx. 1/4" hole in red wool interior at bottom. Other legging: there is an approx. 7/8" x 5/8" hole in the navy wool, an approx. 1/4" x 1/4" hole in red wool rim, and an approx. 1/8" x 1/8" hole in red interior rim.
