The main body color of this uncommon stone is an orange red hue with some slight color zoning with peach and dark red areas. The 10.17-carat gem offers an elongated baguette shape with checkerboard faceting on the pavilion and a step-cut facet on the crown. The mesmerizing internal inclusions are known as schiller and are diagnostic of such material. This stone is simply breathtaking, and although it does exhibit some surface-reaching inclusions and a few nicks to the facet junctions and girdle, this stone is still in great condition. If set, this would make a fantastic piece of custom jewelry.
