Every detail on this Scutellum Trilobite specimen is exceptionally well-preserved: each segment on the thorax, or body, of the Trilobite is well-articulated, and the pygidium, or "tail" of the creature, has a beautiful fan-like texture. The dark gray body of the Trilobite is slightly curved, showing the natural movement of the arthropod without obscuring any of the details. The well-prepared, 3-inch (7.6 cm) wide matrix is carved in a way to situate the Trilobite at the apex of the specimen.
