Dan Rizzie works primarily in paint and mixed-media collage. Throughout his career, he has been a darling of the Texas art community, and has exhibited at The McKinney Avenue Contemporary, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, the Dallas Museum of Art, and the Austin Museum of Art. Rizzie's work has also become a global phenomenon with pieces exhibited at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Royal Academy of Arts in London. Rizzie creates images of geometric abstraction and pieces that focus around symbols from his travels abroad as a child, particularly from his time in India. Rizzie received a BFA for Hendrix College and an MFA from Southern Methodist University.
