The spoons with twelve different Native American figural terminal ends, each on plinth raising from wave-form handle incised with conforming lines; the bowls engraved with two horizontal bands to upper portion above three arrows to a gilt teardrop; the lines continue to reverse centering the TIFFANY & CO. mark, monogram MLM and geometric symbols to bowls' reverse.

Inspired by George Catlin's drawings of Native Americans, the Indian pattern was created in 1884 by prominent silver designer, Charles T. Grosjean. The pattern depicts ritual Native American dances, and every day people such as a warriors, players, and maids. The set specifically reflects Tiffany & Co.'s incorporation of indigenous American elements into their designs, which was a novel approach at the time.
