This truly unique piece will bring out the child in anyone. This surreal scene depicts a family of four Mice journeying down white water rapids. The mother is positioned at the helm, while the father resides in the back holding on to the two youngsters by their tails. The family matriarch is using a Gold vermeil leaf to steer the Rock Crystal Quartz bowl, which is their vessel of choice. All four are peering ahead optimistically through Ruby eyes surrounded by 18K Gold. The detail of their lengthy tails and Ruby bodies is outstanding. Master carver Luis Alberto Quispe has brought out all the intricacies in their fur and has even seemed to capture their emotions. The father measures a stout 3 x 2 inches (7.62 x 5.08 cm). The mother is a more delicate 3 x 1.5 (7.62 x 3.81 cm), while the youngsters measure a slight 2.2 x 1 inches (5.58 x 2.54 cm) each.
