Condition Report*:
Neutral toned print on semi-gloss, midweight paper with black borders and margins. Some minor warming of highlights and light foxing across surface/ margins; few minor creases, dings and indentations; light wear to edges and corners -- all either visible in a raking light, under close inspection, or not affecting image significantly. A rare vintage print and wonderful image, only once offered at auction in recent history, in moderate/ good condition overall. Sold matted and unframed.
Cartier-Breson's inscription, verso, doesn't really make a great deal of sense so has been truncated in the main description. It appears to read 'à Cynthia, the picture is [either] the incroyable [or] or uncropable [sic] caption amitiés Henri.'
