Mined from one of the top localities for the type, Brazil, this captivating Star Rose Quartz is monumental and highly impactful. Weighing an extraordinary 1,211.70 carats, the medium-domed cabochon displays a well-defined six-ray star across the gently domed surface under pinpoint lighting. Expertly polished, the double cabochon features a rounded pavilion and flat cut base for ease of display. The semi-translucent gem reveals the rare and mesmerizing optical phenomenon known as asterism, caused by light reflecting off microscopic needle-like inclusions of Rutile oriented in multiple directions. The result is a luminous, six-rayed star that gracefully shimmers and glides across the surface as the gem is rotated under a single light source. The stone exhibits a delicate, slightly purplish pink hue that is both soft and saturated, a hallmark of fine-quality Rose Quartz. The material is slightly included and in overall great condition with an even polish. Impressive in scale, quality, and optical performance, this Star Rose Quartz is a true collector's stone.
