Ruby, one of the 'Big Three' alongside Sapphire and Emerald, is among the most prized gemstone varieties in the world. This gorgeous Corundum gem displays the coveted purplish red hue for which the variety is celebrated. Weighing impressively over 2 carats, the stone showcases a chic cushion shape with mixed-cut faceting. The crown displays brilliant facets, while the pavilion features step-cut facets. Exhibiting an alluring polish luster, the Ruby lights up with intense scintillation, a captivating, slightly purple center, and excellent brilliance. The natural Ruby is eye-clean; there are a few nicks along the pavilion facet junctions, and a couple of crystals are visible under magnification. This remarkable stone is in excellent condition and is accompanied by a GIA (Gemological Institute of America) report confirming its origin with no indications of heat, a rarity for the sought-after type.
