This rich green box is comprised of sliced sections of Malachite stalactites hailing from the famed Copper mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Malachite is mined there as a collector-grade material and is renowned by artists for its rich hue and impressive patterning. The talented artist who crafted this box used the organic and natural shape of these undulating bands to create the diagnostic pattern seen on all sides of this practical decorative item. The box is vibrant and features a rich green hue, is finished with Gold-plated brass fittings, is lined with black felt on the inside and bottom, and is in excellent condition. This is a phenomenal offering sure to garner a lot of attention.
