Presented here is an exquisite Lapis box featuring top-grade material from Afghanistan. Purer shades of blue are less common, making this offering with a slightly mottled appearance of white Calcite and gold Pyrite truly something special. It is easy to see why rich royal blue Lapis have been prized for millennia. The small decorative box was handcrafted by an expert lapidary, featuring the iconic and highly saturated blue hue. The outer sections showcase a high polish and have been skillfully assembled. The artistic and utilitarian item is in excellent condition, lined with black felt on the inside and bottom, and finished with Gold-plated brass hinges. Lapis of this caliber is hard to come by, making this one a finer example.
