This simply exquisite end-cut meteorite specimen represents NWA 13309. Classified as an LL3.15 variety, this anything-but-ordinary chondrite displays an array of beautiful and colorful chondrules over its sizable cut and polished 'window' face. This substantial, brownish rock from Outer Space weighing 834 grams has an equally appealing "lava-like" exterior with numerous, smallish craters. Purchased by the consignor from a dealer in the exotic locality of Timbuktu, Mali, this meteorite is singular for its combination of size, form, and quality. This chunky offering rests securely and well without need of a base. Clasts of various shapes, and sizes, highlight the smooth primary surface, which includes sparkling metallic constituents and one notable mirror-like example near the edge.
