Of the numerous varieties of pallasitic meteorites, several stand out above the rest, and one of those premier types is Imilac. From the Atacama Desert of Chile, the gorgeous material shows relatively big crystals amid its metallic nature. This fine example features a flame-like shape with an extension of the irregular slice sticking out from an end of the slab with a natural twist. The crystalline structure of the highly translucent specimen comes alive with greenish-yellow color when the piece is fully backlit. The artistically shaped form weighs 86 grams and exhibits minor imperfections on its mirror surfaces. Both sides of this representation could be primary, and the size is rather ideal for any display cabinet.
