This naturally sculptural bone offers the huge size that logically should be associated with a dinosaur. The gigantic brown scapula once belonged to a hadrosaur, or "duck-billed" dinosaur, and has a shape reminiscent of a propeller or an oar. The flat end terminates in a broad fan, while the joint end shows an impressive 'knuckle' formation. This type of bone commonly requires substantial repair or restoration, which, in the case of this artistic example, was performed expertly resulting in a consistent finish look. Belonging to an Edmontosaurus, this is a fossil from a significant dinosaur found in a classic formation.
