Description
Bechar 003 Lunar Meteorite - 127.4 GramsLunar (feldspathic breccia)
Bechar, Algeria - (30° 53' 13"N, 3° 18' 4"W)
Found: 2022
An uncommon complete individual specimen, this meteorite represents a piece of the Moon known as Bechar 003. The feldspathic breccia weighs 127.4 grams and exhibits a 'rocky' and colorful exterior with a unique, contrasting mix of dark grayish-black and light pinkish-mauve covering the rugged surface. Any sizable whole lunar is quite a prize, and this representation evidences all the characteristics to be expected with such material. This extraterrestrial rock, without question, will be a welcome addition to any extensive, budding meteorite collection. Bechar, Algeria, was the origin of the relatively 'recent' meteorite that was first found in 2022.
Measurements: 2.47 x 2.26 x 1.49 inches (6.27 x 5.74 x 3.78 cm), weighs 127.4 grams
