Description
Woolly Mammoth TuskMammuthus primigenius
Pleistocene
Yukon Territory, Canada
The Woolly Mammoth, known by the Latin Mammuthus primigenius, was a massive proboscidean that lived during the last "Ice Age" that occurred during the Pleistocene and even coexisted with early humans. From the Yukon Territory of Canada, this spectacular offering provides numerous appealing attributes. This specimen is large both in length and girth with a pronounced curvature resulting in a naturally artistic characteristic to the fossil. Earthy tones of creams, browns and tans populate the smooth and curved tusk, which has a thick inner wall and overall robust nature. Presented on a custom base, this piece is definitely a showstopper when it rests cradled in the metal mount. This is one big and gorgeous fossil.
Overall Measurements: 47.00 x 7.00 x 35.98 inches (119.38 x 17.78 x 91.40 cm)
