This delightful little Gold in Quartz specimen has one most unusual and compelling zoomorphic aspect - the Gold is actually and obviously shaped like a ram on a rock. The abstract sheep on a mountainous perch is clearly visible to any viewer with a bit of imagination. The crystalline piece features exceptional color and luster owing to its origin, as Australian Gold is so high in purity. The milky white Quartz matrix exhibits a complex network of reddish veins, and the Gold "statue" embedded in the rocky background is sublime, to say the least. Extremely unusual and naturally artistic, this association is more than collectible - it is a 'must-have' for anyone who appreciates what such a singular form of the coveted precious metal can represent. The entity "Down Under" that provided the piece, which weighs 53.7 grams, indicated a net Gold content of some 41 grams. This is a superb smaller example of Australian Gold, which is visually compelling.
