This offering consists of two teeth, from one individual Mastodon. The unworn molars are presented on a wood and metal brace mounting, with the larger of the two specimens measuring full 7 inches (18 cm) in length. These two exhibit the classic cusp-shape diagnostic of Mastodon teeth but not much in terms of the root structures. Both examples exhibit the unique "salt-and-pepper" appearance with both white and black hues mingling on the crowns of both teeth. This dual piece presentation is rather interesting, and it used to belong in the collection of legendary 'fossil hunter' and Megalodon expert Vito Bertucci.
