Fossils can come in a variety of forms, and - although rare - preserved soft parts, including hair, end up in the fossil record. This large offering of Woolly Mammoth hair includes a sizable mass recovered from the Yakutia area of Siberia, where it was frozen during the Ice Age, ensuring it could ultimately be found and brought to market. This very substantial clump features a coarse texture inuring to the insulative properties of the rare material and exhibits a jackstraw cluster of sandy brown shaped like a moustache.
