The highly lustrous botryoides across the specimen are richly colored clusters of Clinoclase, appearing inky indigo on the surface but revealing a deep blue-green, acicular interior as it meets the matrix. Scattered throughout a small handful of crevices across the specimen are small, olive-green glints from the needle-like crystals of Olivenite. Though the matrix is primarily composed of amorphous Quartz, there are some small, well-terminated crystallizations scattered throughout the piece. This is a lovely example from the old, old, old Cornwall region of the UK, with a centuries long mining history, and one of the premier localities for Clinoclase.

More Information: The specimen is in great condition, with the only damage being around the edges of the piece where extracted from matrix. There are no repairs or restorations.
