A super thin slab, this meteorite slice, weighing a diminutive 6.6 grams, has a striking visual 'look' to its relatively sizable surfaces that feature a most unique "pixilated" appearance. The granular and bicolor exterior exhibits brown and silver components, with an overall speckling of black. Found in 2022, in Northwest Africa, this Acapulcoite represents a primitive class of achondrite meteorites and carries the designation of NWA 16397. The fall has a Total Known Weight of only 550 grams of the recrystallized material and represents one of fewer than 100 occurrences of that unique variety. Captivating, and subtly textural, on both sides, this nicely shaped slab is tiny, but it is also mighty. This representation measures nearly 2.7 inches (6.9 cm) across and features a very thin, rugged edge.
