This large, elongated specimen of Baltic Amber displays a cabochon with an irregular polished dome and a relatively flat bottom. A rather big section of a green 'stem' bisects the fossilized tree resin and dominates the extremely clear oblong form. An arachnid and various bubbles share the interior with the intriguing botanical remnant which weighs a stout 18 grams. This rod looks like a miniature chicken bone, and the spider featuring partially contracted spindly limbs is nicely positioned right up against the stem.
