The Baryte from Stoneham quickly distinguished themselves amongst minerals from the United States, or anywhere else in the world, for their sharp form, distinctive blue color, and excellent clarity. This is a rather substantial example, showing condensed groups of well-formed Baryte crystals that reach up to 4.6 centimeters in length, splayed across a broad plate of Calcite; many of the Baryte crystals are doubly terminated or accompanied by thick parallel growths. Each of the crystals are translucent, lustrous, and stand out marvelously against the Calcite. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.

More Information: This piece has an overall excellent condition with two repairs and one stabilized crystal. Please note, this specimen is prone to shedding. Please take care when unpacking and handling, and consider storing in a stable, protected environment to minimize material loss.
