A striking assemblage of fossil scallops, Gigantopecten restitutensis, preserved as they were naturally deposited in Miocene shoreline sediments from the Lacoste region of southern France. The Limestone matrix reveals excellent definition and dimensional depth, each shell retaining its distinctive ribbed texture. The naturally blanched coloration enhances the sculptural quality of the plate, making it equally suitable for scientific display or interior presentation. A refined and visually engaging specimen, combining paleontological interest with strong decorative appeal.
