This golden free form of Miocene Amber from Chiapas, Mexico, weighs 6.3 grams and presents with an exceptional coloration, fine clarity, and a rare inclusion: a single praying mantis suspended right in the center of the polished form. Boasting exceptional detail, especially to the multiple, elongated appendages, this is simply an ideal specimen of fossilized tree resin with a very iconic inclusion. To say the example is captivating would be a gross understatement, and a mantis in Amber is sublime. This offering is rather dimensional with the insect readily visible with the naked eye from both sides.
