This slice of the Seymchan Meteorite does not have the crystals so characteristic and valued with the majority of Pallasite Meteorites, but it does have the added bonus of featuring a distinct and intense Widmanstätten pattern on the shiny metallic surface. This latticework surface is a unique "fingerprint" of the Meteorite. This substantial slice weighs a significant 338 grams and measures well over 7 inches (17.78 cm) at its maximum. The display surface is bordered with a solid band of silver metal as is typical with such prepared specimens. The reverse side is not bordered, but it is quite impactful as the pattern is prominent and bold. The "cross-hatched" piece is a bright metallic, with the intricate pattern adding to its intrigue. The very sizable slice has an irregular shape and terminates at a point on one end.
Overall Measurements: 7.44 x 4.33 x 0.09 inches (18.90 x 11.00 x 0.24 cm), weighs 338 gm (11.92 oz.)
