Gemstones: Blue Topaz Parure - 73.78 TCW
Brazil

Blue Topaz is renowned for its hardness and vibrant blue hue color, rivaling the finest Aquamarines. This gorgeous set of 12 stones has been cut and presented as a parure: a matching combination of stones, such as a necklace, earrings, ring, bracelet, or brooch - the possibilities are endless. Each stone has been meticulously matched and cut, presenting with a chic pear shape with mixed-cut faceting, a modified brilliant crown, and a step-cut pavilion, creating endless scintillation and luster. The color categorized as Swiss Blue is very pleasing to the eye with a nicely saturated and balanced greenish blue hue. In addition, each stone displays excellent transparency, is eye-clean, and is in pristine condition with an outstanding cut and polish. The largest stone in the set measures 19.49 x 14.74 x 10.08 mm and weighs nearly 18 carats. It could be set as a ring, the central stone in the necklace, or made into a brooch. The smallest stone measures 11.38 x 7.48 x 5.13 mm and weighs 2.82 carats. In this arrangement, the two smallest stones represent the last stones in the necklace group. The gems have been somewhat allocated as such: nine for a necklace, two as earrings, and one as a ring or brooch, or all of them could be used for a single statement necklace or allocated as a bracelet. The benefit of acquiring unmounted stones is the flexibility to choose how the stones are ultimately set. Parures of this caliber are not common, and this "volume" option represents a significant value-based acquisition opportunity. It is amazing just how impressive unmounted stones can look when presented in a parure, as is the case with this impeccable grouping of 'icy' Blue Topaz gemstones. Two different layouts have been presented with the 12 stones.
