In addition to its original usage as the cover of the fall 1987 issue Heavy Metal magazine, Cheers holds significance in the history of Olivia's career as the main advertising image from the artist's first Tamara Bane gallery show-even appearing on a Sunset Boulevard billboard promoting the event.

The present work appears on page 8 of Let Them Eat Cheesecake The Art of Olivia by Olivia De Berardinis (Ozone Productions, 1993).
